Rajrishi Nanda Secures AIR 1 in National Astronomy Challenge Olympiad

We are immensely proud to announce that Rajrishi Nanda, a student of Class 8, has brought laurels to our school by securing All India Rank 1 in the prestigious National Astronomy Challenge Olympiad. He scored a perfect 100% in this highly competitive examination which is a testament to his deep passion for astronomy and his unwavering dedication to academic excellence.

The National Astronomy Challenge Olympiad is a platform that encourages young minds to explore the wonders of space science and celestial phenomena. Competing among thousands of students from across the country, Rajrishi stood out for his exceptional analytical skills, scientific aptitude, and consistent hard work. His achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a moment of great pride for the entire school community.

Rajrishi's journey towards this success was marked by intense preparation, curiosity-driven learning, and support from his mentors and teachers. His interest in the cosmos, stars, and galaxies has been evident through his active participation in various science-based activities and clubs in school.

The award ceremony took place on 9th July 2025 at T-Hub, Hyderabad where Rajrishi was formally felicitated for his outstanding performance. In recognition of his accomplishment, he was granted a rare and exclusive opportunity to visit ISRO Remote Sensing Centre and to participate in the Young Space Explorers Meet-Up 2024-25, a nationally acclaimed event that brings together aspiring students, seasoned educators, prominent scientists and pioneers from the space sector.

The meet-up proved to be a transformative experience for Rajrishi. It enabled him to engage in insightful interactions with leading space scientists and innovators, explore future career pathways in space research and deepen his understanding of cutting-edge advancements in astronomy and space technology.
