German Author Brandon Q. Morris Visits DPS Raipur, Appreciates Its Blend of Technical and Experiential Learning

Delhi Public School, Raipur had the distinct privilege of hosting renowned German science writer, physicist, and science journalist Brandon Q. Morris during a special cultural and educational interaction held on campus on 24th July. The visit served as a meaningful platform for fostering cross-cultural understanding and academic exchange between India and Germany.

Welcoming the esteemed guest, Principal Mr. Raghunath Mukherjee highlighted the significance of international collaborations in enriching students' perspectives and broadening their horizons. To make the occasion memorable, the school organized a series of thoughtfully curated cultural and educational programmes that reflected the institution's commitment to holistic learning.

Mr. Morris, widely acclaimed for his scientifically accurate and intellectually stimulating works of fiction, has over three decades of experience in science communication. His writings are celebrated for inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation among readers across the world. Students and faculty members were delighted to interact with such a distinguished personality whose contributions have significantly advanced public engagement with science.

The guest was accorded a traditional Indian welcome with tilak and aarti, showcasing the warmth and rich cultural heritage of India. He expressed admiration for the beautifully designed rangoli at the school entrance and appreciated the creativity and artistic talent displayed by the students.

As part of the visit, a tree plantation drive was organized to promote environmental consciousness. Mr. Morris planted a sapling and encouraged students to contribute actively towards creating a greener and more sustainable future.

A special interactive session was subsequently held in the school's conference hall, where Mr. Morris was introduced to the institution's academic vision, innovative teaching practices, and student-centred initiatives.
