DPS Raipur Dominates the CBSE Far East Zone Judo Championship 2026


Excellence is often measured not merely by victories but by the spirit, discipline, and determination that pave the way to them. Delhi Public School, Raipur once again demonstrated these qualities with remarkable distinction at the CBSE Far East Zone Judo Championship 2026, emerging as the highest medal-winning school in the tournament.

The championship held in Raipur (Maharshi Vidya Mandir) from 27th to 29th July witnessed an exceptional display of skill and perseverance by the school's judokas, who collectively secured an impressive 21 medals - 6 Gold, 5 Silver, and 10 Bronze. Their achievements stand as a testament to countless hours of rigorous training, unwavering commitment, and the indomitable sporting culture nurtured at DPS Raipur.

Adding further glory to this accomplishment, 11 students have earned qualification for the CBSE National Judo Championship, scheduled to be held at Minerva Public School, Jind, Haryana. Their advancement to the national stage reflects both individual excellence and the strength of the school's sports programme.

The gold medal honours were claimed by Sadhika Choudhary (IV G), Darshi Nayani (V I), Vanshika Agrawal (V G), Miraaya Vaishnav (IX A), Vanishaa Kaur Chahal (IX E), and Bhavesh Verma (IX H). Equally commendable were the performances by the silver medalists Adwit Agrawal (IV G), Aditya Raj Singh (VII E), Avanteeka Shri Jha (VIII A), Aditya Sharma (X G) and Anaya Mittal (VI E). The bronze medalists Bhavika Chhabaria (V A), Trisha Tripti (VI C), Neer Baid (VII B), Arpit Singh (VII H), Deeva Chhablani (VIII F), Gargi Dubey (XI F), Sparsh Garg (XII C), Gouraang Dubey (VII G), Swarna Limbani (IV F), Arnav Kumar (IX D) also contributed significantly to the school's overall dominance in the championship.

This remarkable feat is not merely a collection of medals; it is a celebration of resilience, focus and sporting excellence.
